In 2005 no one should have to live with the uncertainty of an unsafe home or business. We all have the right to live in a secure environment, and a great way to provide that security is with a DGX burglar alarm system.
How it works
Communication between your DGX monitored security system and the Customer Monitoring Center begins with the installation of a new state of the art Alarm System by DGX.
Communication from your home/business to the DGX Customer Monitoring Center works over telephone lines. So it doesn't matter where your Customer Monitoring Center is located, the connection time is similar to what you experience when you dial your phone to place a call.
If an alarm situation occurs, such as a burglary, your system is designed to communicate a "signal" to your DGX Customer Monitoring Center.
- When an alarm signal occurs, it is because a specific device or motion sensor has been interrupted or tripped.
- When that happens, the device is designed to communicate with the main box or control panel in your home or business.
Once the control panel receives the signal, your system is designed to seize your telephone line and send a Toll-Free signal over that telephone line to your DGX Customer Monitoring Center.
This signal will then be received via computer by an INBOUND Monitoring associate, who will follow a procedure specific to the type of alarm signal received.
Upon receiving a signal from your home or business, DGX dispatchers will immediately call the location to verify whether you set off your alarm accidentally. Whoever answers the phone is required to give a secret pass code that is stored securely in our records. If we do not receive the right answer or if an answering machine picks up, we will immediately dispatch the nearest local authorities and call the contact person we have on file. Calling you to confirm allows DGX to prevent you from receiving false alarm fines or penalties from your local city agencies.
